Light Duty Tow Trucks in Portland

Speed’s Towing operates a team of 10 light-duty wreckers, built specifically to fit inside the many Portland parking garages, using fold-down emergency light bars. The fleet consists of all wheel-lift tow bodies that lift the towed vehicle by the tires, with no contact to the suspension or body of the car. This process is secure and protects the vehicle. All our trucks have an air hose, jumper cables, tire changing equipment, lockout tools, and, most importantly, a well trained towing specialist.

The medium-duty trucks at Speed’s Towing use 26,000 GVW Chassis and midsized tow bodies, our medium-duty trucks are designed for towing diesel pickups, campers, small buses, and other medium-duty trucks. The under lifts have the option of L-arms to attach to the tires, or frame forks and spring shackle adaptors to tow other midsized trucks. Our medium-duty trucks also get used for the recovery of vehicles that have traveled off the road.

Our car carriers are popular because they carry the vehicle on its tires and are secured to the bed by the towed (hauled) vehicles own tires, by use of our 8-point tie-down system. Long beds and air dump suspensions give a low loading angle and a smooth ride for your car. Our two covered car carriers can haul one vehicle on the bed, and tow one vehicle behind. The trucks have air dump suspension, to lower the load angle for a lowered car and those with a long overhang past the tires. We use the very latest 8-point tie-down system, touching only the tires of the towed vehicle. In addition, we have two enclosed car carriers for specialty cars, collector cars, and bare-metal project cars.
